1. Openability
BAD
This container is difficult to open. It require, at first to remove the blue cap. Then there is a small handle that need to be pulled. Sometime it breaks and the pulling action, due to the strength required, may make you spill some milk
GOOD
This container is Easy to open knowing the method. Can be opened with two single steps using one hand while the other hold the bottle. The movement are slow and would not cause any spill
2. Closability
BAD
The cup need to be screwed to close so it requires some work. Moreover it is a separate object that can get lost. It doesn’t seal the container hermetically but it gives the false impression that it does so someone may try to store it horizontally causing milk to spill
GOOD
To close the container it is enough to fold it back. It doesn’t seal hermetically but it is close enough
3. Pourability
MEDIUM
The flow can be controlled quite accurately but the aperture is wide and round so cannot be pored easily in small container, like expresso cup
GOOD
The V shape aperture allow to control the flow accurately
4. Easy to understand if open (open-understandability?)
BAD
When you have two or more of these container aligned in the fridge I challenge you to understand which one is open
GOOD
Open containers can be understood from a quick visual inspection
5. Recyclability
BAD
Even of the recycling regulations change location by location, mixed material product is more difficult to recycle

MEDIUM
The shape of the bottle is roundish and the material is not so strong so holding it, especially when it is full, ma not be that simple

The bottle is square shape so easy to hold
7. Emptiability
GOOD
All the milk can be poured out of the bottle without trouble.

BAD
The flat top part of this container doesn’t allow to empty it easily
8. Recognizability
MEDIUM
This type of container may be associated to some soap container or some other chemical product. It is true that nowadays container are being used for different products
GOOD
This has more the shape of a typical milk container
9. Producibility
BAD
Similar to Recyclability, being multi-material seems more difficult and costly to produce. There is also the cap that need to be created separately and added later
GOOD
The structure is created that folding and sealing one single peace of material
10. Honesty
MEDIUM
This criteria is not about the shape or material of the container but about the message printed on it. Gradually cows and direct milk imaginary is disappearing from milk container making more difficult to recognize it
BAD
The name of this milk is “Oishiigyunyu” that means “Good Milk”. This is a misleading message. In Japan moreover they have many product that are not real milk and the only way to figure this out is to be able to read the small text “牛乳” on the envelop. Several Japanese that I talked to, didn’t know about this
